Details
ULTIMA Lay-in and Tegular tiles are a smooth visual ceiling with acoustic performance - sound absorption and blocking needed for today’s flexible spaces.
Lay-in ceiling tiles are designed to be installed in a suspended ceiling grid system, with the edges of the tiles fitting into the grid. Tegular ceiling tiles have a small lip or "tegular" that allows them to be suspended slightly below the ceiling grid, creating a more seamless appearance.

Building codes have specific fire performance requirements for materials considered interior finishes based on the flame-spread index and smoke-developed index. The performance criteria is broken into three categories: Class A, Class B, and Class C. Class A materials have a flame-spread index of 25 or less and smoke-developed index of 450 or less. Class B materials have a flame-spread index of 26-75 and smoke-developed index of 450 or less. Class C materials have a flame-spread index of 76–200 and smoke-developed index of 450 or less. Class A materials are appropriate in many commercial applications and Class C (or better) materials are appropriate in many residential applications. Contact your local code official for additional requirements concerning mechanical and sprinkler use.

Absorbs and blocks sound
The ideal acoustical combination - ceilings that combine sound absorption and sound blocking are best used to help keep noise levels down and prevent disruption to and from adjacent spaces.
Impact resistant
These tiles are able to withstand occasional impact. Ceiling tiles with this characteristic are best used in school hallways, gymnasiums, or cafeterias.
Mold & mildew resistant
Ceiling tiles with this characteristic resist the growth of stain-causing mold and mildew on the ceiling tile surface. These are ideal for healthcare, commercial kitchens, clean rooms, and restaurants.
These ceiling tiles have gasketed edges that reduce air leakage through the ceiling in a space up to 4x more compared to other tiles.
